Performance lies at the heart of the BE6 as it comes with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options with the certified claim range of 557 km and 683 km. The power output is up to 210 kW, which is best-in-class with the 79 kWh pack segment. The company’s claims range mainly depends on driving mode and the driver’s skill. The BE6 takes 20–80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.
The front and rear suspension ensure a smooth ride on Indian roads, along with stability control. This car comes with multiple Driving Modes like Eco, City, Sport + for better efficiency-based driving and also support multi-step regeneration functions for extra range support.

The BE6 brings bold signature C-shaped LED DRLs & Tail Lamps with animated center tail ligh. The powered driver seat with lumbar support assist you sit comfortable on long drives, and you will never regret having a car in this hot summer weather as it provide ventilated front row seats with dual zone automatic climate control separately for both passengers. It has separate rear AC vents for rear passengers, along with 12v charger and a laptop power socket.

For the 11.2 kW charger you have to pay the Price is ₹ 75,000 and for 7.2 kW charger the Price is ₹ 50,000.
Real World Review- Why Mahindra BE6 Stands Out
After driving the Mahindra BE6 for a month, we found it to be an affordable EV compared to global rivals, yet packed with premium features. As a rear-wheel-drive SUV, it delivers strong torque, but sudden acceleration in the rain can cause wheel slippage. While the special tyres are designed for control and low noise, they wear out faster than expected. The infotainment screen lags for 10–15 seconds on startup of the car, and the AC sometimes struggles in hot weather, likely due to software glitches. For hilly terrain, we recommend using Ice Mode for grip and switching to power-saving mode for extended range.
On the performance side, the BE6 impressed us with real-world range. We achieved 520 km with AC on the 79 kWh battery pack and managed 500 km in 7 hours at an average speed of 71 km/h. In another run, it covered 352 km at 87 km/h average speed, with 16% battery still left—enough for another 70–80 km. Charging at home costs just ₹7 per unit, bringing running costs below ₹1/km, while public fast charging at ₹25 per unit increases it to about ₹3/km.
Conclusion
The Mahindra BE6 proves to be a strong step forward in India’s EV journey, offering impressive range, powerful performance, and premium features at a price far lower than global rivals. While there are a few software and hardware issues like infotainment lag, tyre durability, and AC efficiency, the SUV’s real-world range of over 500 km and low running costs (as little as ₹1/km on home charging) make it highly practical for daily use and long drives alike. But if you are not a regular rider, then the price can take you back as this car is much expensive compared to another petrol model with the same kind of mechanical features.
